November 1st – Community Resource Exchange

Check out Time Warner’s coverage of the Community Resource Exchange!

The City of Albany Department of Planning and Development invites all residents and stakeholders of West Hill and West End to join us for a Community Resource Exchange!

The evening will begin with free pizza and a presentation of the West Hill & West End Revitalization Plan by the City’s consultants, Kevin Dwarka Consulting. The consultant will walk residents through the implementation component of the plan, highlighting the evolution of strategies based on viability and public feedback, selection of responsible parties, and identification of potential funding sources. Participants will then be invited to visit four different work stations (Neighborhood Economic Development, Housing, Transportation & Mobility, and Environment & Community Life) to comment and provide feedback on the plan. Throughout the evening participants will be invited to visit booths at the community resource fair, where local organizations and agencies will have set up tables to share information regarding the essential services and programs they offer to West Hill and West End residents. Featured programs and services include youth mentoring opportunities, summer youth programs, resume and job search assistance, juvenile re-entry assistance, senior services, homeownership coaching, and renter assistance among others.

Join us for an opportunity to re-imagine West Hill and West End, make your voice heard, and learn about the range of resources offered to the community!
