May 12th & 13th – Albany High School Workshop

Working with the Albany High School principal, administrative staff, and innovation principals and teachers, KDLLC and City staff engaged students at Albany High School in a mock response to proposal planning exercise. Staff began the class with an overview of urban planning, staff background and job responsibilities in the West Hill West End revitalization effort, and reviewed the exercise. Students were broken into small groups and City and KDLLC staff acted as facilitators to the student’s planning efforts. Students used a map to draw proposed plans in response to the needs of the community and then present their findings and proposals to the class as a mock “interview” to the selection committee.
